Eldercare Telemonitoring Reduces Readmissions
Partners HealthCare at Home piloted a telehealth home care program that provided tools for patients to run simple tests at home. Patients no longer had to travel for these tests, which are run frequently. The testing was proactive and helped save patients from unnecessary readmissions to the hospital.

New Medical Center Uses Top Locking System
Learn about the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s locking and safety system. UPMC selected the Sargent 8200 series Mortise Lock with the Sargent Harmony series proximity card reader for the passage doors like those on offices and individual rooms. They selected the Sargent 8800 series Panic Device for installation on the larger 42- and 48-inch doors in the corridors and stairwells. Built into these doors is the same Harmony series proximity reader door lock system used in the 8200 series locks.
