One possible application allows healthcare specialists to connect to rural patients. This means that patients in rural communities can have the same access to quality health care as their more urban counterparts thanks to telemedicine.

However, it doesn’t just work within the confines of our country. Video conferencing actually allows providers to deliver healthcare overseas. In one instance, New York-based integrator John Vitiello donated his time and video conferencing solution to connect doctors battling a cholera outbreak in Haiti with U.S. physicians.
