It’s hard to be everywhere at once. Luckily, Honeywell is making it easy to have that extra set of eyes (and ears) that you always wanted.
The company just debuted the Honeywell MAXPRO cloud-hosted video service. Using a cloud-ready hybrid video appliance, MAXPRO allows users to view both live and recorded video over the web. The MAXPRO service works with any web-enabled PC, Mac, tablet or smartphone.
Designed for use with both analog and digital cameras, the MAXPRO Cloud appliance can record up to eight channels—including up to four Power over Ethernet IP cameras. Other features include auto camera detection and a built-in network switch, as well as the MAXPRO Connect feature for an easy setup.
Once everything is set up, the system can access the MAXPRO Cloud interface to view live and recorded video. Other options include one-click simple search of events, advanced search, and easy snapshot and clip creation.
Honeywell says that the MAXPRO Cloud system is easy to expand via off-the-shelf USB plug-in storage or NAS storage. It also has backup storage of critical events in the cloud and provides email alerts of critical site events, alarms and device health.
